TUITION FEE FOR IMSU INDIGENES MAY BE A FALLACY

Rumour had it that Indigenes of Imo State schooling In Imo State University Owerri were now to pay tuition fees. This came up after a memo was passed that Non-indigenes in the said institution were to pay tuition fees much higher than the normal fee.

A 300lvl student of Mass Communication (name witheld) edited the memo and broadcasting on different chat groups with Address of the SUG Director of Information , this was tge fastest way the rumour spread

Students of the said institution are herby warned to read every information well beforebefore broadcasting. The SUG DOI gave the warning thus:

I want to use this medium to caution our year one  students about the rumour on ASUU strike(Imsu Chapter), I advice you all to be in school on Monday, it is ideal that you come and confirm it yourself, collective consciousness is very necessary in such an institution of ours,where rumours have become the order of the Day. extend this message to others.

In an Investigation with the University Management this morning,No tangible answer was given to our Office,as things might be under consideration before or by Monday.

Please Ignore any Rumour going around that the Tuition fee Payment has been extended to Indigene of the State to be paying,that is a Rumour and a Blatant lie,Indigene are not paying Tuition fee,The Tuition fee is announced for Non-Indigene only
Please Kindly call the SUG director of Information, IMSU on 07061890474 to hear from the Horses Mouth,as it was learnt today that Some people edit his message to misinform students with his Office Adress.

Students Union Government (SUG) in collaboration with COPRESS are still dealing with the sudden increment in school fees for non -indigene..
